The next stride, Grafham Water, Cambridge, Saturday 24th November

22 people die a day from pancreatic cancer, yet this disease receives less than 1% of cancer research funding. The five year survival rate is only 3%, among the worst in Europe, and this figure has not changed for over 40 years.

Striding for Survival aims to raise vital funds towards raising the profile of pancreatic cancer. All profits from the day will go to Pancreatic Cancer Action.

Pancreatic Cancer Action is determined to improve survival rates through greater awarenss of the symptoms of the disease, information and reasearch funding. The charity is working towards more people being diagnosed eariler in time for surgery, currently the only cure.
